Labcorp is seeking a Process Excellence Associate Intern to join our Process Excellence team in Indianapolis, IN with the flexibility of working a hybrid schedule! Join Labcorp’s 2027 Global Internship Program and take the first step toward a meaningful career in healthcare innovation! We’re looking for motivated students to be part of a dynamic 11-week paid internship where you’ll work on impactful projects and gain real-world experience, all while supporting our mission to improve health and improve lives. As a Labcorp intern, you’ll be immersed in hands-on work that complements your academic background. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Science, Statistics, Technology, or a related field.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework in Process Improvement, Engineering, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ months of experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, or visualization through coursework, academic projects, research, or internship experience.
  • 3+ months of exposure to process automation or robotic process automation (RPA) tools through coursework, academic projects, research, or prior work experience.
  • 3+ months of experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support recommendations or decision-making.
  • 3+ months of experience creating reports, dashboards, process maps, or presentations through academic projects, student organizations, research, or internship experience.
  • 3+ months of experience participating in process improvement, continuous improvement, operational excellence, Lean, or Six Sigma-related projects through coursework, research, or internship experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support Process Excellence (PEX) initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency, effectiveness, consistency, and customer experience.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist with implementing process changes.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation within PEX systems in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support the coordination and execution of process optimization projects.
  • Assist with the evaluation and implementation of process automation solutions based on business needs.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize data to support process improvement recommendations.
  • Participate in team meetings, workshops, and discussions to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support Process Excellence objectives.
