About The Position

We are looking for ambitious movie-obsessed students to join our IMAX Internship Program this Summer. This 10-week program focuses on hands-on learning, skill development, and real-world work experience in a collaborative and innovative environment. The internship will take place from June to August in the Mississauga office. This role sits within the DMR (Digital Media Remastering) post-production team, which is responsible for onboarding and creating all versions of IMAX releases for the global theatre network. The position offers hands-on exposure to IMAX content workflows, including editing, sound, and quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can thrive in a highly detail-oriented and collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Film Studies, Production, Technology, or Communications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High level of precision when working with detailed content and documentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to follow direction, manage responsibilities under pressure, and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Learn basic editing workflows within the IMAX DMR group
• Assist the Soundtrack department with quality control and sound-related tasks
• Partner with the Quality Assurance team to review multiple versions of IMAX titles
• Analyze picture content against production documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Support general administrative tasks as needed
