About The Position

This internship provides an opportunity to assist with the review and improvement of task instructions for maintenance activities within the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. The intern will also review data associated with critical equipment in the Process Information (Pi) System and review critical system documentation for accuracy to enhance reliability and troubleshooting. Additionally, the intern will participate in technical, chemistry, and engineering due diligence, and work alongside experienced plant personnel to gain skills and learn modern Operations & Maintenance (O&M) methods. Assistance with the review and completion of preventative maintenance activities is also a key function.

Requirements

  • Strong technical aptitude and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must be at least a second-year student of Technical, General Education, Education, Associates, Electronics, Electronics Technology, Military, Industrial, Applied Science, Community College, related trade field, or engineering field.
  • Must be able to read reports and use computer.
  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk to various departments throughout the organization.
  • Must be able to stoop down to work with equipment or materials.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and pull or push equipment or materials.
  • Moderate overhead reaching and lifting and grasping is necessary.
  • Must be able to write, type, and use phone system.
  • The incumbent will have the ability to use standard office equipment such as PC, printer, telephone, calculator, and copy and fax machines.

Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance with the review and improvement of task instructions for maintenance activities in our Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.

  • Review critical system documentation for accuracy to improve reliability and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in technical, chemistry and engineering due diligence.
  • Work alongside experienced plant personnel to provide value and learn new skills and modern O&M methods.
  • Provides assistance with review and completion of preventative maintenance activities.
