About The Position

Applicants must commit to employment as a pharmacist at Shands upon licensure to be eligible for a graduate intern position. Graduate interns are responsible for orienting and training on all job related functions while Florida Pharmacy licensure is pending. Graduate interns work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and may not be placed in situations in which they have sole responsibility for pharmacy dispensing operations.

Requirements

• Graduation from an ACPE accredited school or college of pharmacy.
• Must have completed internship hours or be completing internship hours with Shands, and have taken or be registered to take the State of Florida Pharmacy board exam.
• Must be accessible by telephone, requiring each employee to provide a valid telephone number to the department Staff Assistant.

Nice To Haves

• Pharm.D. Degree
• Previous experience in contemporary hospital pharmacy practice, preferably in a decentralized hospital pharmacy operation.
• Completion of an accredited residency program.
