The Intern Pharmacist will be responsible for having basic pharmacy knowledge to provide customer service, to process and fill prescriptions, to provide third party functions, to manage inventory, and to provide clinical services.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by communicating with patients in person and via telephone, assisting patients with product selection, and obtaining medication prices.
Process and fill prescriptions using the pharmacy computer system for data entry and third-party adjudication, pulling correct products, counting and labeling prescriptions, and selling prescriptions at the Will Call station.
Manage inventory by updating balance on hand (BOH), ordering products, looking up Meijer codes, checking in and putting away orders, and processing vendor charge backs (VCBs)/transfers/salvage.
Provide clinical services, including health screening tests and immunizations after proper training and authorization, and assisting with MTM platforms when applicable and allowed.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
