This is an unpaid internship opportunity within CGRC's Outpatient Services program, designed for individuals seeking to learn, develop, and expand their competencies in assessing and treating children, adolescents, and their families. The Outpatient Services Program offers services to help young individuals manage difficulties such as depression, anxiety, stress, anger, self-esteem issues, ADHD, bereavement, and other emotional, social, and behavioral challenges. Following a thorough assessment and consultation, clinicians identify the child's needs and recommend treatment, which may include individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and/or medication management. Sessions are typically one hour weekly but can be adjusted based on the child's needs. Evidence-based treatments like Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, and The Incredible Years are utilized.
