About The Position

This internship is for college students who are passionate about the vineyard vines brand and are working toward a career in the retail industry. Interns will be responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations within their designated department (Men's Merchandising), providing support to other departments as needed, and handling administrative tasks throughout the office. vineyard vines is a privately held, American clothing and accessory retailer founded in 1998. Requirements

  • Must be a college student in good academic standing
  • Interest in Merchandising
  • A passion for the vineyard vines brand and lifestyle
  • Great communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Flexibility and open-mindedness
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential company materials
  • Strong interpersonal communication
  • Ability to plan, manage time, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively receive and communicate feedback
  • Must be able to provide appropriate paperwork from your school for credit only internship
  • Able to come into the office on either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday (2x a week)
  • Fall internships can be up to 15 weeks long with a max of 20 hours per week
  • Fall internships slated to start early to mid-September

Responsibilities

  • Organize and manage samples (i.e. maintains accurate inventory of samples and tracks sample landing)
  • Assist in Board Review and Line Adoption prep work (i.e. boards edits and sample edits)
  • Creates Product Knowledge for Retail stores and Product Details for the ecommerce business
  • Participates in competitive research (style and pricing) to understand current market trends and highlights applicable business voids and opportunities to the Merchandising team
  • Demonstrates the ability to carefully listen to others at all levels in the organization
  • Strong time management, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Understands and adheres to all policies related to the organization
  • Ad hoc projects and responsibilities as needed
