About The Position

Introba is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join its Buildings team in St. Louis for Summer 2027. The internship offers hands-on work in a collaborative environment, supporting building engineering design and developing mechanical design skills. The intern will assist with AutoCAD and Revit drawing files and drafting for HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing systems, following team direction and company standards.

Requirements

Be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Be proficient with AutoCAD and Revit.
Have strong spatial perception and visualization skills.
Have strong computer skills, including familiarity with the MS Office Suite.
Have exceptional organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Be able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrate integrity and ethical, fair, and responsible behavior.
Show commitment to innovation, continuous learning, acquiring new skills, and driving improvements.

Nice To Haves

General understanding of engineering/construction documentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in setting up AutoCAD/Revit drawing files, including digitizing and cleaning up working drawings.
Assist with HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing drafting based on markups and instructions from the Team Leader or design staff.
Follow the Introba design checklist, including its drawing standards section.
Follow Introba’s AutoCAD/Revit standards.
Follow design staff instructions to coordinate mechanical requirements with other mechanical services.
Check work in detail before returning the finished product to the Designer.
