About The Position

The logistics intern will assist in the movement of materials, records and parts needed for various programs in which we are engaged. This position reports to the Logistics Manager. In this role you will perform manual, clerical, and data entry/analysis tasks related to the receiving, movement, storage, inventory tracking, disbursement, packaging and shipping of sensitive electronics, materials, equipment and supplies.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in logistics or related field

Nice To Haves

• Experience or certification as an instructor/trainer
• Experience in logistics support, familiarity with logistics practices and processes
• Experience using logistics tools and metrics

Responsibilities

• Performs help desk services providing Telephone support for vital equipment and problem resolution/troubleshooting to provide fault isolation and recommended corrective actions
• Analyzes technical data, failure analysis reports, and original equipment manufacturing notices to determine/formulate recommendations regarding system sparing, repair cycle venues, failure corrective actions, and sustainable replacement items
• Receive, track, document, and store parts in all phases of the repair cycle
• Provides supply support through material research, ordering, warranty tracking, packaging, handling, storing and transporting
