About The Position

The intern in this position will assist with the transition of daily operations of the Charles Lindbergh House and Museum from the Minnesota Historical Society (MNHS) to the Little Falls Chamber of Commerce and Tourism (LFCCT). Working under the Partnership Sites Manager, and collaborating with various other departments at MNHS. The intern will prepare and organize interpretation and training materials, assist in staging the museum and historic home, and provide administrative and on-the-ground support for both MNHS and the LFCCT.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student, or have graduated within the past 12 months at the time of application.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative setting
  • Comfortability, or willingness to learn, working in GoogleSuite
  • Understanding of researching historical topics using primary source material
  • Reliable transportation as some travel will be expected.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently pursuing, or a graduate with a degree in the following areas: History, Public History, Museum Studies, Education, Business Management

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Charles Lindbergh House and Museum
  • Participate in team meetings
  • Meet and communicate regularly with the partnership sites manager
  • Work collaboratively with various departments at MNHS
  • Travel to necessary locations including Charles Lindbergh House and Museum, Little Falls, MN History Center, St. Paul, and meetings with the Partnership Sites manager
  • Prepare spaces on-site for the LFCCT
  • Organize interpretative materials
