About The Position

EquipmentShare is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Intern to support the Legal and Real Estate teams in a high-impact enterprise project. This role will focus on organizing, standardizing, and digitizing real estate contract data within our Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, LawVu. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with legal operations, contract management systems, and enterprise data governance.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and document management systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel experience preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage tasks independently
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, Real Estate, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in legal operations, real estate, or contract management, preferred
  • Familiarity with document management or CLM systems (a plus, not required)
  • Experience with data entry, auditing, or compliance-related work, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Upload and organize real estate contracts and related documents into the CLM system to ensure accurate, accessible records.
  • Review contracts and extract key metadata (e.g., lease terms, critical dates, obligations) to support effective tracking and reporting.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency of contract data across systems to enable reliable business decisions.
  • Support data cleanup and standardization initiatives across legacy files by implementing consistent naming conventions and organizing scalable folder and file structures.
  • Execute compliance-related tasks to align documents and records with EquipmentShare (EQS) standards.
  • Contribute to enterprise-wide digital transformation efforts by supporting legal and real estate initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data integrity, accessibility, and overall usability.
