About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join their team in Burlington, NC. This internship is part of Labcorp's 2027 Global Internship Program and offers a 11-week paid experience where interns will work on impactful projects and gain real-world experience. Interns will be immersed in hands-on work that complements their academic background and will gain exposure to Labcorp's global business, culture, and leadership through enterprise-wide learning experiences, leadership exposure, an immersive intern event, senior leader speaker sessions, and continuous opportunities to connect and grow. The program also includes connection to Labcorp's inclusive culture through employee resource groups and values-driven community initiatives, as well as dedicated mentoring connections.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor’s degree program
• Interest in laboratory science
• Interest in diagnostics industry
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures
• Eagerness to learn new laboratory skills and scientific concepts
• Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision
• Maintain professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

Nice To Haves

• Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision
• Support approved laboratory projects
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures
