About The Position

Pima County's Finance & Risk Management Department is seeking a dynamic, motivated part-time intern to join their Internal Audit – Procedures and Training Division. The successful candidate will work as an intern assisting in evaluating and documenting processes and internal controls for County Departments. Duties may include performing financial data analysis; examining compliance with relevant laws, regulations, contracts, grant terms and bond requirements; and reviewing internal controls for computer software used by County departments. They will work as a member of an internal audit team under the supervision of an Internal Audit Supervisor or Internal Auditor II. Requirements

  • Recent graduate from or currently a sophomore, junior, or senior at an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, business analytics, or a closely related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree (or higher) in accounting or finance.
  • Current junior or senior enrolled at an accredited college or university, or have graduated from an accredited institution within the past twelve (12) months.
  • Cash handling, accounts payable, or accounts receivable experience.
