About The Position

The Internal Audit Intern will be provided an opportunity to gain an understanding of the function of the Bank’s Internal Audit Department. The intern will gain experience in several aspect of internal audit with an emphasis on branch operations, internal controls over financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. The audits assigned to the intern are intended to enhance the intern’s understanding of internal controls and allow application of classroom knowledge in a professional setting.

Requirements

• College student with Junior or Senior status pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience and up-to-date skills using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel)
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Strong teamwork skills
• Ability to read to gain understanding
• Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Perform audits of the Bank’s branches to ensure compliance with Bank policies and procedures.
• Complete audits by assessing internal controls over financial reporting.
• Complete audits of regulations by examining and analyzing reports, operating practices, and documentation.
• Assume additional duties as assigned.
