About The Position

The Interior Design Intern will support the Interior Design team with day-to-day projects and special assignments throughout the community. The role offers exposure to the process of maintaining and preparing residential spaces, including coordinating access to units, meeting vendors, taking measurements, researching products and materials, and organizing design resources.

The intern may shadow appointments and projects, assist with floorplan measurements and documentation, research items needed for upcoming projects, and maintain organized inventories of furnishings, supplies, and storage areas. This position is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience and develop an understanding of interior design within a senior living environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordinating resident and vendor appointments in vacant and occupied units.
• Take measurements of units to support floorplans and space planning.
• Shadow Interior Design appointments and projects to gain hands-on experience.
• Research and locate items, materials, and products needed for projects.
• Organize and maintain inventory of furnishings, décor, samples, and storage items.
• Assist with filing paperwork and maintaining project documentation.
• Provide general support to the Interior Design team and assist with special projects as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
