About The Position

The Information Technology Intern will support projects that strengthen Dunmore’s technology infrastructure, documentation, automation, and IT/OT capabilities. This hands-on role provides exposure to enterprise IT and manufacturing technology, including IT/OT systems, cybersecurity, data and analytics, ERP, automation, and emerging technologies. The intern will collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to improve technology asset visibility, document systems and processes, identify opportunities for greater efficiency, and support defined technology improvement projects.

  • Ability to work independently on well-defined projects and communicate findings and recommendations clearly.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer or Systems Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework, project experience, or demonstrated interest in information technology, automation, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, or related technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support IT/OT asset management activities by reviewing, validating, organizing, and documenting technology asset information across applicable systems and locations.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of internal IT documentation, standard operating procedures, system information, process maps, and knowledge-base resources.
  • Review recurring IT support activities and workflows to identify opportunities for improved documentation, employee self-service, standardization, or automation.
  • Support small-scale automation and workflow improvement projects using approved tools and technologies, such as Power Automate, scripting, or other automation solutions.
  • Conduct research on technologies and potential solutions and assist with documenting requirements, benefits, risks, and business considerations for selected technology initiatives.
  • Assist with documenting relationships among enterprise IT, manufacturing/OT systems, data sources, and business processes to improve system visibility and institutional knowledge.
  • Support data organization, validation, and documentation activities that improve data quality, ownership, and accessibility.
  • Participate in cross-functional technology projects with IT, Engineering, Operations, and other business functions.
  • Support approved AI-related projects and use cases in accordance with Company policies, security requirements, and established approval processes.
  • Document project findings, outcomes, and recommendations and communicate progress to appropriate stakeholders.
