As an Information Technology Intern, you will gain valuable on-the-job experience in entry level IT operations.

Requirements

• Candidate must be pursuing an Associate or Bachelor degree in business with a specialization in computer science or closely related discipline or be pursuing a Microsoft certification through an accredited training facility
• Must have experience with MS Windows operating systems, iOS and knowledge of MS Office
• This role places a strong emphasis on customer service and communication skills, teamwork, reliability, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude
• Must be able to work some evenings and weekends
• Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to be insured to drive a city vehicle which includes at least 3 years of driving experience not including permit time

Responsibilities

• Deploy and troubleshoot mobile devices
• Operate A/V equipment
• Provide Tier I help desk support for city staff
• Install and maintain personal computers, related peripheral equipment, computer operating systems and application software
• Track and report support calls
• Provide preventative maintenance
• Assist with miscellaneous projects as needed
