About The Position

This position is accountable for supporting corporate IT management. The Intern, under close supervision, will perform a variety of entry-level legal tasks and special projects while establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. The incumbent must support the guiding beliefs and core values of Orion, which are centered on Quality, Safety, and Production (each of equal weight and importance), but most importantly, with each built upon the all-important foundation of Integrity.

Requirements

  • Individual in this position must be enrolled in college or university and have work experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties of the position.
  • Individual must have computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • The position also requires good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively relate to employees at all levels of the organization.
  • The incumbent must be well organized and a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be flexible and able to adjust to sudden changes in work priorities and prioritize work to accommodate those changes.

Responsibilities

  • Assists IT Management department with IT initiatives and programs.
  • Works closely with different departments to provide IT Management support in a variety of areas.
  • Maintains confidentiality of IT Management information.
  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for the incumbent's own personal safety.
  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for the safety of all co-workers and any others the incumbent comes in contact with.
  • Understands authority and obligation to stop work on any task or series of tasks whenever an unsafe condition or situation is anticipated or is observed.
