Assist the Office of Information Technology with the daily functions of the Student Information Services group. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain reports based on data from the Student Information System (SIS). Responsible for ensuring that areas of the University's information systems and services are in compliance with Texas A&M International University rules and standard administrative procedures, as well as with The Texas A&M University System policies and regulations, PCI security standards, and/or other applicable standards such as FERPA, HIPAA, copyright laws, and the State of Texas Administrative Code (TAC) 202. Provide local program support for SQL student database applications. Prepare and modify programs to extract data from SIS. Provide support to University department regarding the usage and maintenance of SIS and associated data. Provide analytic support to department/projects/requests regarding SIS. To be eligible for Student Employment: Undergraduate Students · Undergraduate student must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester of college-level courses or accepted remedial courses. · International undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 12 semester credit hours to meet the federal immigration guidelines. · Must maintain a 2.0 TAMIU overall GPA. Graduate Students: · Graduate students must be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours per semester. · International graduate students must enroll in 9 semester credit hours in order to meet the federal immigration guidelines. · Must maintain a 3.0 TAMIU overall GPA. Students who will be graduating may enroll for less than half time for their final semester. Must submit proof of graduation.
