About The Position

Tindall Corporation, a leading Precast Concrete Manufacturer in the Southeastern U.S., is seeking an Intern-Industrial Engineering. The company's mission is to support customers, create remarkable structures, and deliver innovative solutions. This internship is designed to help the intern improve production processes for greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness, either through solo projects or by supporting full-time industrial engineers. The experience aims to cultivate skills necessary for a full-time industrial engineering role post-graduation. All employees are expected to adhere to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a degree in industrial engineering (or related field) in an ABET-accredited program.
  • Must have completed coursework studying or have practical experience with work measurement.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the orientation portion of the Tindall training program, including time in production, QC, field, and support operations.
  • Complete the IE technical portion of the Tindall training program, covering process analysis, work design, work measurement, work standards, work plans, routings, and labor performance reporting.
  • Design solutions for process improvement based on collected or supplied data.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives in the production facility.
  • Initiate projects to address observed inefficiencies in the production facility.
  • Collect and analyze data to support creative solutions.
  • Report project progress and results to management, including the senior leadership team.
  • Develop strong working relationships with employees in all production departments to utilize them as resources for future projects.
  • Create automated data reporting tools to keep management informed on production performance.
  • At the conclusion of the internship, develop and implement a final process improvement project, including the presentation of findings, recommendations, and results to senior management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
