About The Position

Performs a variety of industrial engineering tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarization with the manufacturing operations staff and Company programs, methods, and practices. This role involves operation analysis, variance analysis, and method improvement studies, as well as assisting in auditing labor standards and evaluating suggestions. The intern will also prepare various charts and reports related to workflow, layout, and manpower, and assist in capital expenditure analysis, plant and office space planning, and LEAN implementation.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, Quality Sciences or related field

Responsibilities

• Performs operation analysis, variance analysis, and method improvements studies
• Assists in auditing labor standards for accuracy
• Assists in the economic evaluation of suggestions and method improvement studies
• Prepares work flow, layout, sequence, manpower and other related charts, graphs and reports
• Assists in capital expenditure analysis, justification, and forecast
• Assists in plant and office space planning for efficient and effective utilization
• Assists in developing LEAN implementation plans and process improvement
