About The Position

This is an intern position in the Radiology department, providing services to patients under direct supervision. The role involves preparing and positioning patients, selecting exposure factors, implementing radiation protection and safety standards, and assisting supervising technologists and physicians in various imaging procedures. The intern will also prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the scope of practice and maintain a clean and safe department environment.

Requirements

BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
High school diploma equivalency AND enrolled in an accredited program specific to discipline.

Responsibilities

Provide services to patients under the direct supervision.
Prepare and position patients and select exposure factors accurately.
Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
Prepare for and assist the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging procedures.
Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
