About The Position

The Human Resources Intern provides administrative and project support to the HR team while gaining hands-on exposure across multiple areas of HR. This internship is ideal for someone exploring a career in Human Resources who is not yet sure which specialty to pursue and wants to experience a variety of work with our team (such as recruiting support, onboarding and employee lifecycle processes, HR operations, employee engagement, and workplace compliance). The intern will learn through guided projects, day-to-day team support, and opportunities to shadow and collaborate with different HR team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting coordination by helping schedule interviews, preparing candidate communications, and maintaining recruiting trackers.
  • Assist with onboarding and employee lifecycle tasks, including preparing new-hire materials, drafting welcome communications, and organizing orientation logistics.
  • Maintain accurate HR records by updating files and/or HRIS data, tracking required documents, and following established confidentiality practices.
  • Support employee engagement and HR communications by drafting and formatting announcements, creating simple reference guides, and assisting with event or program logistics.
  • Provide basic HR support by responding to routine questions, routing requests to the right HR contact, and documenting follow-ups as needed.
  • Contribute to HR projects (e.g., process updates, audit/checklist prep, file documentation) and attend team meetings/shadowing to learn how HR decisions are made.
  • Collaborate with multiple HR team members to complete assigned tasks across different HR focus areas and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
