About The Position

The Fleet Intern will play an integral role in supporting the Safety and Risk operations, gaining valuable hands-on experience in workplace safety, risk management, and compliance initiatives. This role will provide exposure to key safety practices that contribute to a safe and thriving workforce. The intern will assist in coordinating safety program activities, conducting audits, and analyzing compliance data to support organizational safety goals.

Requirements

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED issued from an approved GED administrator and currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Public Safety, or related field.
• Ability to demonstrate intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Any combination of education and experience which demonstrates the candidate’s ability to perform successfully in this position will be considered.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data entry and maintenance of fleet records.
• Help track and update preventive maintenance schedules.
• Support fuel usage tracking and reporting.
• Assist with vehicle inventory audits and documentation.
• Maintain and organize fleet files and digital records.
• Assist with vendor communication follow-ups.
• Help ensure compliance documentation is up to date for new and upcoming vehicles (registration, inspections, etc.)
