Founded in 1985, we have helped our customers connect over 100 million things and growing Internship Digi International is looking for an Investor Relations Intern to support the Investor Relations (IR) team in delivering strategic insights, competitive intelligence, and process improvements that strengthen communication with the investment community. This role provides hands-on exposure to public company investor relations, financial analysis, competitive benchmarking, and AI-driven analytics tools. The intern will work closely with IR leadership and cross-functional teams to analyze peer company investor relations practices, develop automated tools for tracking competitive performance and sell-side consensus estimates, and contribute insights that enhance Digi’s investor messaging and reporting efficiency.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in financial markets and public company communications
  • Ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear insights and presentations
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet defined milestones in a structured internship timeline

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with investor relations, equity research, or financial statement analysis
  • Experience using AI tools, automation platforms, or data scraping techniques
  • Exposure to financial modeling or consensus estimate tracking
  • Experience analyzing earnings call transcripts, investor presentations, or SEC filings

Responsibilities

  • By the end of the internship, analyze Investor Relations practices of 8–10 peer and best-in-class companies, covering earnings materials, quarterly disclosures, investor presentations, and conference participation. Deliver a 10–12 slide summary deck highlighting key trends, gaps, and at least five actionable recommendations for Digi’s IR approach.
  • Design, build, and deploy a functional AI-powered agent (using Claude Projects or a similar platform) that automatically tracks and analyzes 8–10 peer companies across key metrics such as ARR growth, profitability margins, cash generation, and stock price total return. The tool will identify emerging trends from earnings calls and filings and generate a quarterly executive summary dashboard.
  • Design and implement an automated consensus tracking system that extracts key estimates (revenue, ARR, EPS, margins, etc.) from sell-side research reports, updates a centralized consensus document, and generates ready-to-use reports for Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and earnings planning.
