We’re looking for a detail-oriented, systems-focused intern to help us improve the accuracy of our customer data, streamline process documentation (with the help of AI), support in-flight migration activities, and assist with renewal-related operational tasks. If you’re curious, organized, and love turning messy inputs into clean, scalable processes, you’ll thrive here.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Operations, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving.
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) and basic data manipulation (filters, lookups, pivot tables).
  • Clear written communication—able to translate complexity into simple, actionable steps.
  • Curiosity, ownership mindset, and willingness to learn new tools quickly.
  • Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship. While this is an internship role, Digi International and its companies are not able to provide visa sponsorship for internships, or subsequent potential full-time employment. As a result, we are unable to consider visa applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRM (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics 365, HubSpot) or ERP basics.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for drafting and summarization (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).
  • Exposure to data cleaning or lightweight scripting (e.g., Excel formulas, SQL basics).
  • Experience creating SOPs, process maps, or quick-reference guides.
  • Understanding of renewals or subscription/maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Audit existing customer records across systems (e.g., CRM/ERP) to identify potential duplicates and incomplete records.
  • Apply standard matching rules and business logic to consolidate records accurately.
  • Partner with stakeholders to validate merges and maintain data integrity.
  • Document data quality rules, edge cases, and decision trees for repeatability.
  • Inventory existing SOPs, work instructions, and tribal knowledge; consolidate into a single, navigable source of truth.
  • Use AI tooling (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, or internal tools) to summarize long procedures, standardize templates, auto-generate draft SOPs, and flag gaps.
  • Create lightweight process maps and RACI matrices where helpful.
  • Set up version control and naming conventions to keep documentation current.
  • Assist with pre-migration data readiness tasks (field mapping, data profiling, remediation lists).
  • Support test cycles (UAT/smoke tests) by validating data accuracy and logging defects.
  • Track and communicate migration risks, blockers, and dependencies in a structured way.
  • Help maintain renewal-related data (terms, contacts, product/asset alignment, dates).
  • Build and refine checklists, trackers, and dashboards to improve visibility and reduce cycle time.
  • Identify process improvements to streamline handoffs between Sales, CS, Finance, and Ops.
