About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Finance Excellence Intern to join their Finance Excellence Team. This role will be located in Durham, NC, with a hybrid work schedule. The intern will support the Finance Excellence team in collecting, validating, and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility for reporting and decision-making. They will also assist with data governance and documentation efforts, including mapping data sources, defining key financial metrics, and supporting data quality checks across finance systems. Additionally, the intern will contribute to analytics and insights initiatives by preparing dashboards, ad-hoc analyses, and presentations to improve operational efficiency and financial performance. This is an 11-week paid internship as part of Labcorp's 2027 Global Internship Program, offering hands-on work, exposure to Labcorp's global business, leadership interaction, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program.
  • Working towards a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in financial data, analytics, and technology.
  • Foundational skills in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn new tools and systems.
  • Familiarity through coursework or hands-on experience with financial analysis, statistics, or data management.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and follow structured processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrates eagerness to learn and develop new skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Python is a plus but not required.
