About The Position

Microchip is seeking a Design engineering intern to become a key member of our digital team who is an active participant in the design and verification of Flash based 8bit and 32bit mixed signal MCUs. Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of digital logic design, computer architecture, and hardware description languages (HDLs).
  • Basic knowledge of C
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with digital design tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, TCL) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design, implement, and verify digital circuits and systems using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
  • Participate in the development of RTL (Register Transfer Level) code using Verilog or System Verilog.
  • Implement verification testbenches and debug logic simulations
  • Assist in synthesis and timing analysis to ensure design functionality and performance.
  • Support the integration and validation of digital IP blocks within larger 32-bit system-on-chip (SoC) architectures.
  • Contribute to design reviews, documentation, and project planning activities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including analog designers, product/test engineers, and SoC architects.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in digital design.
