About The Position

Sundt is seeking committed engineering students in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering and construction management students enrolled at accredited universities or colleges. The internship provides experience on challenging projects throughout the United States and opportunities to participate in activities involved in successfully building projects. Sundt is looking for future company leaders who are inspired to go beyond the expected.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Be a team player willing to take on offered challenges.
• Be eager to learn, curious, and ready to get hands-on experience.

Nice To Haves

• Interest in pursuing a construction career with a builder.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project record keeping, shop drawings, and cost control records.
• Assist with report preparation, safety inspections, and submittal logging and processing.
• Assist with surveying, testing, sample collection, drawing correction, and filing.
• Assist with timekeeping, cost control, inventory control, schedule checking, and subcontractor monitoring.
• Attend bid openings and conferences; take notes, make records, and complete forms.
• Observe and report meeting results and conduct site tours for visitors.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and call vendors and subcontractors for proposals.
• Work as a manual laborer, helper, clerk, technician assistant, or in similar capacities.
