About The Position

The Engineer Summer Intern will work alongside the Engineering Team at the Charleston location, gaining hands-on experience with our team. This role involves assisting with system design, analysis, and testing, as well as contributing to software development projects. Key Responsibilities: Assisting in the design and analysis of engineering systems Participating in system modeling and simulation activities Supporting software development efforts, including coding and testing Collaborating with team members to understand project requirements and deliverables Documenting work performed and maintain project records Attending team meetings and contribute to discussions Learning and applying systems engineering principles and methodologies Environment: The intern will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment with a team of experienced engineers. The role involves working on real-world projects and gaining valuable hands-on experience in systems engineering. The intern must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be comfortable with a fast-paced work environment. #LI-LH1

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a rising senior in a Bachelor’s degree program in systems engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • Strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Basic understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java
  • Familiarity with software development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
