About The Position

EquipmentShare is searching for a student intern to join the Engineering Team at our Home Office in Columbia, MO for the Fall of 2026 (with potential to extend into Spring 2027 and Summer 2027). This role supports project coordination, data analysis, and cross-functional communication to help engineering teams operate efficiently. The intern will organize project schedules, maintain documentation, and track action items. They will also gather and analyze project data to identify risks or bottlenecks and prepare reports or dashboards. Additionally, the intern will facilitate communication among engineering, product, and operations teams.

Requirements

  • Must be actively working towards a BS degree (or seeking) in Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering preferred
  • Attention to detail / organization skills
  • Able to lift 50 lbs
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets
  • Highly organized and able to multitask
  • Strong desire to take on new challenges with a positive attitude
  • Aptitude for working in groups and collaborating
  • Familiar with Computer Aided Drafting, Kanban and work organization
  • Wiring Schematics, Electrical knowledge, Excel (soft skills), programming (Python)
  • Ability to use tools

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automotive or detailed instructions
  • Hands on experience when involved with new product introduction
  • Creo preferred
  • Experience in automotive a plus

Responsibilities

  • Organize project schedules, maintaining documentation, and tracking action items to ensure tasks stay on track.
  • Gather and analyze project data—such as timelines, costs, and resource usage—to identify risks or bottlenecks and prepare clear reports or dashboards for project managers and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication among engineering, product, and operations teams by following up on deliverables, supporting meetings, and assisting with planning activities like design reviews or project sessions.
