Essential Functions Work with office and project staff to develop BIM models of new and existing electrical systems within commercial buildings These models are used to provide project coordination with other trades, dimensioned shop drawings for prefabrication and field installation, takeoffs using Revit Schedules, assist with preconstruction efforts, and as-built record drawings. Perform modeling utilizing Revit in multiple types of projects. Assist with Project Collaboration using Navisworks Manage while performing Coordination / Clash detection Provide dimensioned shop drawings for field installation and prefabrication, as well as provide as-built record drawings at the end of the project Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable

Requirements

  • College sophomore or above working towards a related undergraduate degree or be currently enrolled in or attending trade school. If you are a recent graduate, you must be within 1 year of your graduation date.
  • No experience required.
  • Electrical and general construction knowledge is preferred to understand constructability of electrical systems
  • Basic Revit experience and understanding of its processes to model conduit and placing of equipment families, files, understanding of schedules, and work sets
  • Exposure or Knowledge of both Navisworks and Bluebeam. Proficiency will be developed as part of internship.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare and give presentations.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to use most Revit tools within a project; must be able to utilize basic tools associated with electrical design such as conduit and cable tray.
  • Navisworks Manage experience and comprehensive understanding of its function by setting up and coordinating projects, files, and clash detection.
  • Willingness to learn additional software as required by project.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and have a good attitude.
