Job Summary This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical/Computer/Data Engineering student to gain hands-on experience in a business environment. This position is responsible for executing tasks assigned by Data Integration Team Manager. This person will be expected to work 20-40 hours per week over the summer/school period with the potential to extend beyond the summer period with reduced hours.
Requirements
- Programming experience (Python and/or Java)
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with Linux/Unix based operating systems
- Experience with version control software like GitHub or Subversion
- Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
- Quick learner, able to detect problems and react accordingly.
- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Knowledge of statistics
Responsibilities
- Development of tools and procedures to enhance efficiency of routine tasks and analysis.
- Identifying opportunities for automation of existing processes
- Version controlling and creating documentation of existing processes
- Trouble shooting and modifying existing software tools
- Develop automatic reporting tools, dashboards and advanced data analytics
- Ad hoc scripting and data analysis
- Other duties as assigned.
