Posting Close Date: 10/09/2026 The Opportunity Ovintiv is seeking an Intern to support the Land Administration team while gaining practical experience in managing land data, mineral and royalty ownership, and contractual support. Internship: Comprehensive summer internship designed to provide a solid foundation of knowledge and experiential training while giving students the opportunity to apply what they are learning in school in a real-world setting. As an intern you will spend the summer working closely with an experienced mentor and be assigned a project and various other responsibilities intended to provide you with learning opportunities while delivering meaningful contributions to Ovintiv.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, with an interest in the energy industry.
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student through December 2027.
  • Must be available May 17 - August 6, 2027.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Project management skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a team environment.
  • Self-starter with motivation to excel.
  • Interest in learning land administration, ownership, lease and contract, or division order processes.
  • Strategic and proactive problem solver.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Quorum Land Suite; Microsoft PowerBI and TIBCO Spotfire a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Land Administration team while gaining practical experience in managing land data, mineral and royalty ownership, and contractual support.
  • Work closely with an experienced mentor and be assigned a project and various other responsibilities intended to provide learning opportunities while delivering meaningful contributions to Ovintiv.
  • Maintain accurate land, ownership, and contractual information.
  • Work closely with Land, Legal, Accounting, Operations, and other teams to support lease and contract administration, mineral and royalty ownership analysis, compliance, data integrity, and the research and resolution of ownership, contract, and operational matters.
