About The Position

Montage International (MI) seeks to collaborate with our owner, investor, and design partners to deliver exceptional properties, that continue to build on our artistic collection of distinctive luxury hotels, resorts and residences. Our efforts guide the creation of memorable and unique design solutions that reflect the Montage and Pendry brand philosophies and exceed our guests’ and residents’ expectations. The Development Services team provides the knowledge and resources to help ensure that special requirements and operational relationships in both front-of-house and back-of-house areas of each property are optimized, and all of our hotel and residential properties conform to our uniformly high standards. The Design Intern will gain practical experience by organizing product resources, managing vendor databases, assisting in other immediate design department needs. This internship offers valuable exposure to design management tasks and facilitates professional growth in the field of design.

Requirements

  • High School Degree
  • Enrollment in college level programs geared toward skills that align with internship functions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, Procore, PlanGrid preferred.
  • Desire to learn new technologies as required
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Collaborative mindset that listens to others and effectively, comprehends information, creates timely information flow throughout the organization while building strong relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to be responsive and balance priorities, work activities and resources.
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and absolute discretion with sensitive information
  • Passion for interior design and an eagerness to learn about the field

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, Procore, PlanGrid preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general project coordination support, preparing summaries, tracking deliverables, and updating shared documents as requested.
  • Work with project directors to input pipeline project details into Asana platform.
  • Contribute to the creation and refinement of design review checklists and other tools to streamline internal processes and improve consistency across projects.
  • Assist in organizing and structuring historical data by property, helping to create a clear and consistent reference system for future analysis.
  • Support development of project tracking tools, integrating timelines, budgets and project milestones.
  • Assist in creating a submission template for CapEx project review requests.
  • Conduct product research —identifying potential vendors, comparing specifications, and organizing data to inform purchasing and replacement strategies.
  • Continue to update Master Consultant list, refining key data within Asana Platform.
  • Conduct consultant research and compile digital portfolios, presentations, and qualifications for use by the Design and Development teams.
  • Perform other duties as required.
