About The Position

The Oklahoma City Thunder’s Community Engagement (CE) department is seeking a student for our Fall 2026 internship! As an intern, you will provide administrative support to the CE team and assist with charitable donations, fostering relationships with community partners and beneficiaries, and event planning and execution. The Fall internship program runs from August 24th, 2026, through December 4th, 2026. Interns will have access to professional development workshops, networking opportunities, resume reviews, and other activities designed to enrich their experience. Program perks include paid downtown parking and tickets to a Thunder home game during the season!

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and eligible to receive academic course credit for the
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
Strong attention to detail and ability to see projects through completion
Self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks, while working collaboratively with others
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for occasional local travel.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and fulfill community requests, including donations
Enter and update donations and inventory in Excel databases
Help organize the Rolling Thunder Book Bus visits at schools and other locations
Maintain Thunder educational programs’ mailings and database updates
Assist in game-night activities such as auctions, raffles, and fundraisers
Collaborate with CE and other departments to plan and implement event details, including set-up, guest communication, check-ins, and post-event cleanup
Load and drive the department van with event supplies to various locations
Maintain supplies and inventory at both arena and off-site storage locations
Participate in scheduled internship program activities
Perform other duties as assigned
