About The Position

As a student intern entering the company, it is expected that the intern will assume, as much as possible, the role of a regular staff member. This role involves adhering to company policies, maintaining confidentiality, and developing professional relationships. The intern will apply academic knowledge to the company setting, demonstrate self-awareness, and actively participate in learning opportunities. Punctual submission of work and progress reports are required. The intern will maintain a position of trust and responsibility, keeping customer information confidential. They will accept assigned responsibilities and projects to add value to Farmers National Bank, work positively in a team environment, and complete all mandatory training, including BSA and Anti-Money Laundering procedures, while maintaining compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations. Regular, predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education degree (GED)
  • Currently enrolled in a College Degree program – Finance/Accounting preferred
  • Must possess basic computer skills and knowledge
  • Use a calculator, typewriter, phone, fax machine, and other office equipment.

  • Maintaining professional relationships with company employees, customers and so forth.

  • Relating and applying knowledge acquired in the academic setting to the company setting.
  • Developing a self-awareness in regard to attitudes, values, behavior patterns, and so forth that influence work.
  • Preparing for and utilizing conferences and other opportunities of learning afforded in the company.
  • Being consistent and punctual in the submission of all work assignments to the supervisor and faculty coordinator.
  • Providing the faculty coordinator with periodic progress reports.
  • Maintain a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all customer business and personal information confidential.
  • Accept responsibilities and projects as assigned by a supervisor to add value for Farmers National Bank.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, in a positive manner, with coworkers and the public.
  • Complete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti-Money Laundering procedures. Maintain compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position.
