About The Position

MedPro Group is an industry-leading Berkshire Hathaway insurance company seeking an Intern for their Claims Data Analytics team. This role involves preparing various reports and presentations for management, maintaining and updating key lists and scorecards, and collaborating with Divisional Claim managers to optimize operational metrics. The intern will also assist with international claims, claims audits, vendor report validation, and ad hoc data requests. Participation in company and community activities is also expected.

Requirements

Active enrollment in a Finance, Accounting or Actuarial Science Bachelor’s degree program
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently
Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Year-round availability to work in the Fort Wayne office 15-20 hours/week during the school year and 40 hours during the summer
Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship, both now and in the future

Responsibilities

Prepare weekly claim activity reports and send out high level management metrics
Maintain the Defense Panel list
Prepare semi-annual updates of the Defense Panel Scorecard
Prepare the monthly Claims optimization presentation
Work directly with Divisional Claim managers to ensure optimization of operational metrics
Assist in preparation of monthly International Claims files and presentations
Select claims and prepare forms for quarterly claims audits
Validate monthly vendor reports and load into claim management system. Correspond with vendors
Assist with ad hoc claim audits and data requests
Take on other projects as assigned
Participate in company and community activities
