The American Heart Association’s Internship Program provides college students an opportunity for hands-on experience in various facets for individuals interested in gaining work experience with a non-profit, voluntary health organization. The intern would support American Heart Association's brain health strategies. This would include helping gather, organize, and summarize scientific literature on the relationship between cardio- and cerebro-vascular health and brain health - spanning from biological connections to common risk factors, including physical activity, diet and sleep. Building on understanding gained, the student would contribute to the development, evaluation, and communication of programs aimed at improving brain and heart health.
