About The Position

Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is an engineering and scientific investigation and failure analysis firm. We are frequently retained by law firms, insurance companies, and manufacturers to answer complex technical questions on projects ranging from small, focused investigations to large-scale, high-profile losses. Requirements

• Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Materials Science, Civil/Structural Engineering.
• No prior professional experience required; laboratory, research, or internship experience a plus.
• Demonstrated interest in forensic engineering, failure analysis, or litigation support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with engineering analysis or CAD software a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take initiative on assigned tasks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be available to travel for field work.

Nice To Haves

• 3.30 GPA or higher, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with field investigations and site inspections under the supervision of experience consultants.
• Performs engineering research, data collection, and analysis to support ongoing projects.
• Assists in preparation of technical reports and documents.
• Participates in laboratory testing and analysis activities.
• Supports consultants in organizing and analyzing evidence and technical data.
• Attend client meetings and internal technical reviews as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support to the multidisciplinary consulting team.
• Internships with ESi are expected to be full-time, 40-hours per week, from Monday to Friday (Business hours are from 8am-5pm).
• If you are also enrolled in college – we require that you take no more than 2 classes during your employment semester with ESi and are able to work a minimum of 32 hours per week within business hours.
