About The Position

Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Intern - Athletic Operations. The Nevada State University Athletics Department is seeking dedicated interns to assist with the daily operations of our athletic programs.

Requirements

• Must be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be enrolled as a degree seeking student with a minimum of 6 credits in the current or upcoming semester at Nevada State.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).
• Majoring or minoring in a relevant degree program for the duties/responsibilities assigned for any internship positions applying to.
• Applicants must meet the posted minimum qualifications at the time of application in order to be considered for the position.

Nice To Haves

• Strong writing and storytelling abilities.
• Comfortable conducting both planned and impromptu interviews.
• Familiarity with social media platforms.
• Basic graphic design, videography and video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
• Interest in higher education marketing
• Experience with social media analytics reporting.

Responsibilities

• Practice and game day preparation and setup.
• Inventory management of equipment and uniforms.
• General office and administrative duties.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Athletics and coaching staff. This position provides hands-on experience in collegiate athletics operations and the opportunity to work closely with staff and student athletes in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
