About The Position
This internship role at MedPro Group, an industry-leading Berkshire Hathaway insurance company, offers the opportunity to train as an Associate Underwriter focusing on service-related tasks. Interns will gain knowledge of underwriting systems and policy types, gather information for new business applications, process loss runs and credential letters, and shadow various departments including Underwriting, Customer Service, and Manual Operations. The role also involves assisting with other assigned duties and project work.
Requirements
- Active pursuit of degree in Insurance, Risk Management or Business with at least 2 years completed.
- Outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to succeed in high volume environments requiring personal organization, multitasking, and regular reprioritization with short turnaround time on items of high impact.
- Proven ability to work on a team or operate independently and prioritize job duties.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Mandatory computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet).
- Year-round availability: 15-20 hours/week during the school year and 40 hours/week during the summer.
- Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship, both now and in the future.
Responsibilities
