About The Position

This internship program offers a unique opportunity to learn all aspects of store merchandising, ensuring proper assortments and placements in accordance with merchandiser-developed plans. The intern will gain an understanding of visual integrity within merchandise locations and ensure they are maintained according to Visual Guidelines. This role involves collaboration with the UP&E Product Development team, field managers, the merchandise warehouse, and the visual team to manage store layouts and product placement. The intern will also learn about managing the proper flow of inventory, tracking out-of-stocks, and coordinating floor sets and refreshes. Additionally, the intern will develop an understanding of interpreting and sharing financial analysis.

Requirements

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Senior or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • A transcript is required upon application.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2027.
  • This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred majors include: Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, Hospitality, or similar.
  • Basic financial knowledge.
  • Preferred merchandising experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develops multi-unit floor plans & multi-unit SKU to fixture plans.
  • Manages merchandising & planning procedures in accordance with visual & merchandising standards for each store location.
  • Works to supply and maintain minor store signage.
  • Provides analysis of sales contributions on the SKU from a program and department level.
  • Responsible for the development of post store set execution reports.
  • Conducts independent analysis to ensure program is meeting financial expectations & makes decision to re-assort store if necessary.
  • Effectively communicates needs, suggestions, stock level concerns, and provides direction to field team and product development team on assortment issues, merchandise exit strategies, and product replacement.
  • Monitors, tracking, and ensuring the proper flow of goods including new product, re-orders, and delivery schedules.
  • Updates the auto replenishment schedules, parameter display minimums, replenishment adjustments, manual inventory orders, and supports the store teams on inventory control.
  • Makes determinations and decisions regarding the overall Special Event product placement, stock balancing, flow of goods from warehouse stores, event reporting and operational support.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
