About The Position

The Architectural Intern will assist our Architecture efforts, and includes the following duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or similar is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel.
• Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
• Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.
• Must comply with Vestal Corporations’ core values for the safe and efficient operation of the business and maintain sound relationships among and with employees.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or willingness to learn AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.
• You are expected to also invest some of your own time immersing yourself into the Architectural field of the AEC industry familiarizing yourself with key reference materials: Building Codes International Building Code ADA guidelines Insurance Design Guides FM Global Loss Prevention Datasheets FM Global RoofNav FM Global Product Approvals Safety Standards OSHA for Industry and Construction

Responsibilities

• Prepares and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. as directed by others utilizing Revit/BIM.
• Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.
• Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
• Engage with other interns across the enterprise as part of the overall Summer Internship Program.
• Comply with Company’s Quality Control and Project Management procedures.
• Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
