About The Position

SitusAMC is looking for passionate individuals to join their team and transform client businesses and their own careers. This is an opportunity for interns to gain experience in the Real Estate Industry. The ideal candidate will be able to be themselves, advocate for others, stay nimble, dream big, own every outcome, and think global but act local. This position is a full-time temporary in-office internship opportunity beginning in January 2027. Students will take a semester off from school and work out of our West Des Moines office. This role will provide support to our commercial real estate professionals on the appraisal and consulting and/or valuation management team, on a national basis, on all major property types, for our national clients which include some of the largest and most prominent financial institutions, pension funds, and insurance companies. Duties would include learning about commercial real estate research, data, the three approaches to value, assisting with preparation of appraisal reports, coordinating the valuation management appraisal review process, tracking, and closing out quarterly processes.

Requirements

Working towards a bachelor’s degree – preferred fields of study include Real Estate, Accounting, Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience
Attention to detail and strong organization skills
MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Problem solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Analytically minded
Ability to meet deadlines
Self-motivated
Execute at a high level

Responsibilities

Involved with performing valuations and/or appraisal reviews
Manage workflow to produce on time deliveries
Help execute portfolio valuations and large consulting engagements through implementation of organizational and technical skills
Communication/coordinate with market participants, clients, and co-workers
Review 3rd party appraisal reports
Research property and market information
Analyze subject and comparable data
Develop appraisal and consulting reports and other deliverables
Work independently on projects and also collaborate ‘face to face’ as a team player
Managing processes and procedures
Track the entire workflow process from beginning to end
Other activities as may be assigned by your manager
