IBHS is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to understanding how buildings perform in severe weather and turning that research into practical solutions that help communities become more resilient. Through applied research, testing, and engineering insight, IBHS advances building science to inform real-world decisions and improve outcomes before, during, and after major weather events. This opportunity is designed for emerging researchers and future engineers interested in contributing to work at the intersection of science, resilience, and the built environment. As part of the 2027 Intern and Fellowship with IBHS, participants support research exploring how building materials and systems respond under demanding conditions while gaining exposure to collaborative, applied research in a mission-focused setting.
