About The Position

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a web developer intern to join our Analytics Web Systems team this summer. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and supporting software applications for new and existing systems.

Requirements

• Students must be working toward a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, and have at least two years of coursework completed.
• An understanding of object oriented and/or functional design paradigms and best practices
• High aptitude for logical thinking and pattern recognition
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and practices to overcome existing challenges
• Ability to adapt to constant change and innovation
• Understanding of Web technologies based on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript such as Angular
• Ability to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Responsive Design (Mobile), Database Design (SQL), ASP.NET, WebAPI, Core MVC, C#, F#, C++, Automated Testing, Software Development Lifecycle, Agile Methodologies, Version Control Practices (git), or AWS or Cloud technologies
