We are currently looking for a Summer Intern, Analytical Lab at our Piscataway, NJ. office. The 2026 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will begin June 1st, 2026 and run through August 14, 2026. Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Pursuing a degree in a scientific or Chemistry discipline, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Using standard operating procedures, run oils & fine fragrances on GC/MS
• Perform extractions on finished products to identify a fragrance’s composition. Prepare output for perfumer review.
• Change gas tanks as needed to ensure efficient operation of machinery.
• Maintain basic operation on GC/MS, including routine trouble-shooting. Be familiar with machines to be able to diagnose bigger issues and surface to managers.
• Update mass spectral library on GC with new materials from vendors.
• Labels samples appropriately and documents testing appropriately.
