Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Actively pursuing or has obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in AI or a related field is required.
• Understanding of core AI and data concepts including: Machine Learning Fundamentals (algorithms, model training, evaluation) Data Structures & Pipelines for handling structured and unstructured data Neural Networks & Deep Learning Basics Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision principles Cloud & API Integration for deploying AI models Understanding of ethical AI use, bias mitigation, and compliance standards.
• Exposure to model optimization, performance tuning, and scalable deployment strategies.
• Understanding of advanced AI concepts related to data relationships and reasoning.
• Some level of proficiency with common AI and data science languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) with exposure to scripting for automation and data manipulation.
• Ability to adapt quickly, learn new skills quickly, and work effectively in ambiguous situations.
• Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and problem solving skills.
• High level of professionalism and ability to handle sensitive/confidential information appropriately.
• Effective time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including basic presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Completes AI-focused work assignments by applying current AI concepts and tools, following procedures, meeting deadlines, and collaborating cross-functionally to support business initiatives.
• Communicates progress, insights, risks, and improvement opportunities to project teams and leaders.
• Engages in self-development by sharing AI knowledge, seeking and incorporating feedback, adapting to change, and contributing to rotation-specific objectives.
• Supports AI solution design by assisting in problem framing, system design, and defining required interfaces, methods, and parameters.
• Helps develop and refine AI models and workflows using machine learning, data analysis, and programming techniques (e.g., Python or R) under guidance from senior staff.
• Contributes to creation and review of technical documentation, including semantic layers, knowledge graphs, and ontologies.
• Participates in model evaluation, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Provides troubleshooting support for non-complex issues related to algorithms, data pipelines, and API integrations.
• Collaborates with IT and AI teams to ensure adherence to architectural standards, design patterns, and ethical AI practices (including bias mitigation and compliance).
• Applies knowledge of emerging AI trends (e.g., Visual AI, Rules Engines, Recommender Systems, and Responsible AI) to develop insight into industry best practices.
• Develops organizational and technical familiarity by engaging with AI publications, attending training events, and exploring generative AI tools.
• Assists in implementation and post-implementation support for AI-driven business solutions, including configuration and enhancement of models and applications.
• Participates in networking and learning events with interns and associates working across AI and related functions.
• Provides feedback to support continuous improvement of the AI internship program.
