The Intermodal Equipment Control Analyst is responsible for the daily management, control, and optimization of railroad public equipment customer pools to ensure equipment availability, fluid network movement, and minimal exposure to rail per diem, storage, misuse, off-route, dwell, and other rail-related penalties. This role coordinates across railroads, ramps, dray providers, customers, and internal operations teams to keep equipment properly positioned, quickly turned, and returned within allowable free time. The position is accountable for reducing avoidable penalty expense that can materially impact company profitability.
